Reported Sighting
Yet another intriguing sighting this time from Drogheda Ireland, where an Ex British Forces chap caught something ‘unusual’ on his camera!

Date of Sighting: 5th August 2006
Location of Sighting: Drogheda, Ireland
Brief Description: I was out walking in the late evening, and I was just taking pictures, and there was a tree standing out above the others, with the sunset reflecting off the clouds. I thought it could make a good photo so I took the shot and went home… it was only later on when I uploaded all the images on the Camera that I noticed something strange behind the tree, to the left.. I still have no idea what it is. I certainly never saw anything and the only sound was that of bird song. It appears to be spherical and it also appears to have a light side and a dark side… Opinions please…

Appearance: Spherical… Appears to have a light side facing the setting sun and a dark side facing away..
Size: I would guess medium…. It’s behind and to the left.
Distance: I was standing roughly 800 metres away from the tree but that is a very wild estimation.
Day/Night: Daytime
Time: 2105
Surroundings: Lots of trees in the area. No buildings. River nearby. Battle of the Boyne site nearby.
Duration: I didn’t see anything.
Witnesses: I was with someone and she didn’t see anything either.
Explanations: No. Doesn’t look like a bird. There were birds in the area, I could hear their song.
Reported Previously: Not officially. Didn’t know who to report it to.
